Title: Research and technology transfer in planning, scheduling and logistics at the Applied Optimization Systems Group

Abstract: In this talk, we will present the Instituto Tecnológico de Informática (ITI) where the Applied Optimization Systems Group (SOA, http://soa.iti.es) carries out an intense research activity mainly on production planning, finite capacity scheduling and routing. The different research lines will be introduced, motivated and exposed, together with our activity as regards research projects, publications and technology transfer and consulting with companies. The focus will be on the applicability and transferability of the presented results. Together with the research lines, we will also present our optimization packages that we are currently transferring to companies: ControlStocks for production planning and forecasting, SeKuen for finite capacity scheduling and RoutingMaps for vehicle routing problems. Future research lines and collaboration opportunities will be also highlighted in order to spark a fruitful discussion and to look for fruitful collaboration opportunities.
